Artists debating identity

Who are we? The question of whether or not we identify as disabled or Deaf has been taken up in a series of events at Shape London

A recent event run by Michelle Taylor at the Shape offices in London asked a gathering of disabled and deaf artists about how the labelling process had affected their careers. Identity brings up many questions. Colin Hambrook explores the disability arts movements' relationship to the issues that came up in conversation, in his latest blog.
